Global March for Elephants, Rhinos and Lions - Accra

Oct 25, 2017

The Global March for elephants, Rhinos, & Lions was a great success! The collaboration between ARIS and SOS highlighted the core of what it means to be an IB student. Students from MYP, PYP, and the IBDP all worked together, creating an event unparalleled to any other. The Global Marchers kicked off, street-side at 3:00 pm sharp, drawing interested members from the neighborhood community in. Cars passing by were donating cash and encouraging the students to keep marching! We would like to thank everyone who mde this event a success.

A special thanks goes to:

  • Ms. Barbara Bilgre (SOS) for working diligently on this event and for her passion to raise awareness for the endangered African Elephants.

We would also like to thank the valuable guest speakers, who took time out of their day to come out and support the GMFER2017 event, Accra.

ARIS Students, SOS Students

The students raised a staggering 6,627.30 GHS! The students will meet very soon to vote on how the money should be donated. Some money is sure to go to the research of elephants at Mole Park. Check back to see how the money is put to work. The hand painted, wooden elephant sold for a whopping 850 GHS. Thank you year 8!

Thank you Sponsors:
