Take a Look at our PYP Library

Aug 20, 2018

To make the PYP Library even more welcoming than it already is, our Librarians were setting up cute posters and artwork on the library walls.

If you have been to our PYP Library, you know that it is probably the coziest place on the PYP Campus, and how much students and faculty and even parents love it. Its full of resources for students AND Facilitators and holds books in the different languages that ARIS offers as well.

This morning, we caught a little glimpse into what was going on in the library, and we saw laminated posters going up on the wall next to the entrance, with quirky notes that anyone can read to feel more welcome. There were posters introducing our two PYP Librarians, and there were posters with notes about the ARIS Teachers and students, books in the library and even the little artifacts. All of this was done through the all the IB Learner Profiles.

These are what the notes read –

“Our Teacher-Librarian, Talata Ma’am is CARING as she takes care of the ARIS Library”

“Mr. Christopher is PRINCIPLED, he ensures that you read books and return them back too”

“Children who come to the library are INQUIRERS as they want to know more”

“ARIS Teachers are REFLECTIVE as they come here for resources and reflect on their work”

“The Bookshelves here are OPEN-MINDED as they hold different genres of books”

“Books in the Library are KNOWLEDGEABLE as they contain loads of Information”

“When I try to read books in different languages in this library, I become a RISK-TAKER”

“Authors are COMMUNICATORS as they talk to us through their Books”

“The Artifacts in the Library makes us THINKERS as they make us think about various cultures that we have in our school”

“ARIS Library is BALANCED as it not only has books for studying but also books that we read for fun!”

Now, doesn’t that give you a concise idea about the ARIS Community and the ARIS Library? We love our Library, and we hope you do too!
