Year 5 - Recycled Art - Places of Worship (UoI - Religious Architecture)

Nov 16, 2018

The beauty of the PYP is the experiential learning and interesting activities, inside and outside the physical classroom!

As our Year 5 students delve deeper into their present Unit of Inquiry on World Religions, they are learning about Religious Architecture and various Places of Worship.

Yesterday, we saw our Year 5 students out on the field, making Recycled Art with Cardboard Boxes. They worked in pairs to make their places of worship! Some made churches, some made mosques and also temples, among others.

What is most important is their internalization and conception of not just the existence of various religions, but the various religious spaces, and the respect towards them!

See below to see our students working on their recycled art projects, in making their places of worship. Stay tuned to see the finished result!
