African Leadership Academy In ARIS

Nov 13, 2019

The African Leadership Academy, as part of the leadership training organized for their Accelerator cohort, visited Al-Rayan International School ( Primary Campus) yesterday!

The purpose of this visit was to focus on two themes: Critical Thinking and Leadership Skills, and to observe how ARIS implements and ensures that these skills are developed in our students and staff.

As an institution, Al- Rayan International School is keen on developing, enriching and applying the approaches to teaching and learning in the learning process. Approaches to Teaching according to the International Baccalaureate, include teaching that is Inquiry-based, focused on Conceptual Understanding and Effective Collaboration, and developed in Local and Global Contexts. For Approaches to Learning, skills developed include Thinking Skills, Communication Skills, Research Skills, Social Skills, and Self Management Skills.

The visit from the African Leadership Academy was an interactive one, from the presentations to classroom observations and interactions with staff. We are grateful to ALA for giving us the opportunity to impart knowledge and we look forward to more visits and opportunities to inspire, empower and effect transformation in our world!
