Head of Humanities (Secondary, Humanities)
Frederick Oppong-Boadi has a degree in Geography and Development from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Education, Winneba.
Fred (as he prefers) started his teaching in a local primary school in 2003 but left two years later to attend college. After working as a forestry officer for a large multinational mining corporation in Obuasi for two years, he changed career and started teaching full time in an inclusive school in 2010. Fred joined ARIS Secondary School in 2014 to teach Geography and History to Years 7 and 9, and has since trained to teach Geography and History in the IB Diploma Programme. He has a huge passion for providing fun and enjoyable learning for his students.
Fred is very proud to be part of the ARIS faculty and feels privileged to have the opportunity to work with such a diverse range of happy, hardworking and talented students. In his spare time you'll find him up a mountain, on a football pitch, in the gym, cooking...you get the general idea!
