Danyame Farm Trip

As part of the IB Biology and ESS programmes, students are given the opportunity to undertake a number of educational field trips to augment their theory lessons.

For this reason the IB1 class (year 12) embarked on their first field trip to the Legon Botanical Gardens and the Danyame farms to study the flora and fauna of both sites.

Danyame Farms, which is approximately 25 minutes away from Legon, located in Dodowa. Danyame Farms are suppliers of a variety of vegetables. The farm also supplies major grocery stores in the area.

Farming is an important aspect of our lives and through this trip; students learnt how it fits into the ecosystem. Students were given the chance to relax and feed goats, grass cutters, rabbits as well as ducks.
