CAS Locker Pinting Project

Mar 19, 2018

We all want our lockers to look unique when we are in High School. When it becomes a CAS Activity, it is even better, considering that students can unleash their creativity into giving their lockers more character.

Our IB1 Students at ARIS got together on Saturday the 10th of March, to combine both Creativity and Action as part of their CAS Project to paint the first floor lockers to make them look like books. This project also aims to promote ‘Reading Awareness’.

So far, the students have only met one Saturday from 9-11 and painted the lockers the base color of the book cover they would like to paint. The students will continue to meet on Saturdays from 9 to 11 until their project is complete and it makes the school hallways look like a giant library alley. That is definitely something, isn’t it?

Sometimes school schedules and homework gets really stressful. We want to promote reading as something that not only is a part of the students’ curriculum in all subjects, but also a sort of release for them; a way of getting answers, being more imaginative and inquisitive.

Stay tuned for updates on the Locker Painting project!
