Dr. Fatma, Keynote Speaker at TIS Educational Forum

Our Director, Dr. Fatma Odaymat, has been invited as a Keynote Speaker at the Tema International School Educational Forum today!

The Annual Tema International School Educational Forum is held every year, and this year’s theme is “A Transforming World: The State of School Education in the next 15 Years.” Dr. Fatma Odaymat is one of the Panelists along with Mr. Anis Haffar (Founder of GATE Institute), Dr. Conrad Hughes (Principle of International School of Geneva, 1st IB School), Mr. Israel Titi-Offei (Principal of SOS Hemann Gmeiner International College) and Ms. Ida Abbeyquaye (Vice-Principal, Lower Secondary School, Ghana International School).

The Panelists will be covering a wide range of critical factors of school education – teaching and learning, learning environment, curriculum, personnel and assessment. The shift from the “Chalk and Talk” to a Student Centered Education to Technology in Classrooms and its impact, Flexible Learning Environment, Personalized Learning and Assessment and the validity or the redundancy of Examination Halls, Teacher’s Impact, Class sizes, Artificial Intelligence and much more!

Dr. Fatma Odaymat is our Director. A Medical Doctor by Profession, she has extensive experience in managing projects and programmes dealing with women and children for over 15 years. She has managed educational and health programmes for children of all ages, including children suffering from the ‘Worst Forms of Child Labor’ and ‘Children Affected by Armed Conflict’ in Africa and the Middle East. She has worked with the United Nations and has also been a consultant in various International Organizations to develop and manage Early Childhood Development Programmes, build and rehabilitate schools and provide Capacity building for Teachers and School Administrators. She has also worked with the Government on the ratification of Education and Protection policies.

She brings her global experience and her vision to ARIS, as a school and as a community. Under Dr. Fatma’s Leadership, ARIS has been approved as a Cambridge International School and an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme and is currently an IB Middle Years Programme Candidate school. She has led her vision for ARIS to offer the highest standards of International Education and inculcate the values of International Mindedness to be Global Citizens to our Students.
