Secondary ARISVersity Module 2

Oct 29, 2018

We have come back refreshed to the second half of the semester after our mid-semester break last week!

Today marked, our 2nd Session for Secondary ARISVersity. There were 8 Parents who attended Module 2 of Secondary ARISVersity, which was on ATL (Approaches to Teaching and Learning).

Parents and our Faculty (ATL Coordinator Madame Boudour) took an active part in discussions regarding the ATL which across the IB Continuum are deliberate strategies, skills, and attitudes that propel IB Teaching and Learning. Some of the IB ATL Skills include: Thinking Skills, Communication Skills, Social Skills, Self-management Skills, Research Skills.

All of the above contribute a great deal into making your wards and our students Global Citizens today and in the future! With the last ARISVersity Module being on the IB Learner Profiles, and this one being on ATL, Parents who are part of the sessions are gaining invaluable insight to their children’s learning and their subsequent reflection and action!

As per the feedback of the parents present at the ARISVersity Module-2 Session, it was positive! Some said that they felt like a student again, and loved the approach; another parent said that the session was beneficial, informative and fun that got them thinking on their own ATL Skills; other parents went more specific to say that they especially found the Blooms Taxonomy of Learning extremely interesting!
